What is SecureTAC approval for debit or credit card transactions? How is it different from SecureTAC?

SecureTAC approval for debit and credit card transactions allow customers to approve their Card-Not-Present (CNP) transactions via SecureTAC through CIMB OCTO App. Example of Card-Not-Present transactions is 3D (secured) online transactions.

 

Note: Card-Not-Present (CNP) transactions are transaction where the cardholder is not physically present at the merchant when the payment is made. Examples of CNP transactions is:

  • Non-3D (non-secured) online transaction
  • 3D (secured) online transaction
