Steps to activate your credit card

 

ACTIVATE YOUR CREDIT CARD VIA CIMB OCTO APP

STEP 1

On CIMB OCTO App Home Screen, select "More" > "Services" > "Manage Card"

STEP 2

Select "Credit Card Activation"

STEP 3

Select Card to activate

Note: Only credit cards which are not activated are displayed for selection

STEP 4

Key in your preferred 6-digit credit card PIN 

STEP 5

Approve via SecureTAC

STEP 6

Receive a successful notification and you are ready to kickstart your first swipe!

STEP 1

On CIMB OCTO App Home Screen, select "More" > "Services" > "Manage Card"

STEP 2

Select "Credit Card Activation"

STEP 3

Select Renew Card to activate

Note: Only credit cards which are not activated are displayed for selection

STEP 4

Tap on Existing PIN OR key in a new preferred 6-digit PIN

STEP 5

Approved with SecureTAC

STEP 6

Receive a successful notification and you are ready to kickstart your first swipe!

 

NO CIMB OCTO APP?

Activate your CIMB Credit Card/-i and change your PIN with the 2 simple methods below: 

STEP 1

Method 1 via IVR:

Call the number at the back of your card > Select language > Select 1 > Select 3

OR

Method 2 via SMS:

SMS CA<space>last 4 digits of credit card number and send to 68833 using your Malaysia mobile number registered with CIMB

E.g. SMS CA 1234 to 68833

Note: For supplementary cards, only the Principal holder is authorised to activate the card

STEP 2

Receive a 6-digit Temporary PIN via SMS on your registered mobile number

STEP 3

Change to a permanent PIN via CIMB ATM and use your PIN to register for CIMB OCTO App to manage your CIMB Credit Card/-i

Set a New 6-digit PIN for the New Card. Use existing PIN/New PIN to Renew Card

STEP 1:  Log into CIMB Clicks www.cimbclicks.com.my

STEP 2:  Go to ‘Services’ > ‘eStatements’ > Click on ‘View eStatement’

STEP 3: Select the month of choice

STEP 4: Click on the Download button > Click Download as PDF

 

SCHEDULE RECURRING PAYMENTS VIA CIMB CLICKS:

 

Credit card payment

 

STEP 1:  Log into CIMB Clicks www.cimbclicks.com.my

STEP 2:  Select ‘Pay & Transfer’ > ’Scheduled Transactions’

STEP 3: Select Schedule a loan/cards payment at the top

 STEP 4:  Input your payment details

STEP 5: Review payment details & Click 'Make Payment'

 

RESUME AUTO BILLING AFTER CARD REPLACEMENT

 

 

 

 

  • Telco (e.g: Digi, Maxis Celcom)
  • Online Media (e.g: Netflix, ASTRO)
  • Insurance/Takaful (e.g: AIA, Prudential)
  • Utilities bill (e.g: TNB, Indah Water)

STEP 1

TRACE

 

Trace back your previous statements to identify merchant(s) with auto billing.

 

 

STEP 2

SEARCH

 

Search how to sign up for billing with the merchants, usually via physical form, online applications or through the phone.

 

STEP 3

UPDATE

 

Submit the updated details of your newly replaced credit card with the respective merchant(s)

 

STEP 4

DONE

 

Your auto billing will resume as usual and you're good to go!

 

 

REDEEM YOUR CREDIT CARD BONUS POINT

 

STEP 1

CHECK

 

Once you have checked your Bonus Points balances, select

the number of points you wish

to redeem and the category

of your reward.

STEP 2

REDEEM

 

Select the items to be redeemed and the quantity of each that

you want. Add them to your cart and click "Redeem"

 

STEP 3

ACCEPT

 

Accept the Terms & Conditions

and key in your details

as required.

 

 

STEP 4

CONFIRM

 

On the summary page, click "CONFIRM" and take note

UPDATE ADDRESS

 

You are required to update your credit card mailing address

if your current registered with CIMB is no longer valid.

STEP 1:  Log into CIMB Clicks www.cimbclicks.com.my (dekstop version)

STEP 2: Select 'Update Profile' and under 'Update Contact Details', select ”Update Address”

STEP 3: Select the credit card(s) that you would like to update your mailing address

 STEP 4: Select 'Mailing Address' as Address Type

STEP 5: Select your 'Location' and proceed to fill in your 'New Address'

STEP 6: Click 'Save Address' to have your new address updated with CIMB

 

HOW DO I PERFORM CONTACTLESS PAYMENT?

 

 

Contactless payments are convenient and saves your time.

 

JUST TAP TO PAY!

 

Your CIMB Credit Card is enabled with contactless function, you may use it for retail transaction up to RM250 at merchant which displays contactless symbol. 

 

 

 

 

SEARCH

 

If merchant accept card payment with contactless feature, the contactless symbol is shown at the card reader.

 

 

TOUCH

 

Simply tap your credit card on the card reader (less than 4cm) from where the contactless symbol appear.

 

 
CONFIRM

 

A beep/green indicator light indicates successful payment.

 

 

 

 

EASILY TOP UP

 

You can easily top up your

eWallet using your credit card

Go to your eWallet app

Select to top up eWallet
