ACTIVATE NEW DEBIT CARD

ACTIVATE OVERSEAS USAGE

You can now activate the overseas usage function via CIMB ATM and CIMB Clicks website! As part of the bank’s security measures, it is necessary to activate the overseas usage function before using your debit card overseas for shopping or ATM withdrawal.

ACTIVATE OVERSEAS USAGE FUNCTION VIA:

Step 1

Log in to www.cimbclicks.com.my

Step 2

Go to “Services” and click on “Overseas

Spends & Withdrawal”

Step 3

Click and select your card number

Step 4

Go to “Change Status To”, select your

preference & click “Submit”

Step 5

Authorise the transaction via Secure TAC

or TAC via SMS

Step 6

Your card has been successfully activated.

Ensure that you have sufficient funds in

your account for your oversea purchases

ATM STEPS

 

 

STEP 1: Enter your Debit Card PIN

 

STEP 2: Select ‘Others’.

 

STEP 3: Select ‘ATM/Debit/Credit Card Related’.

 

STEP 4: Select ‘Overseas ATM Services’.

 

STEP 5: Select ‘Activate Permanent’.

 

STEP 6: Enter your 'New I/C Number’ and ‘Confirm’.

HOW DO I PERFORM CONTACTLESS PAYMENT?

 

Contactless payments are convenient and saves your time.

 

Activate your contactless feature by performing a PIN transaction during your first purchase. 

 

JUST TAP TO PAY!

 

Your CIMB Debit Card is enabled with contactless function, you may use it for retail transaction up to RM250 at merchant which displays contactless symbol. 

 

 

SEARCH

 

If merchant accept card  payment with contactless feature, the contactless symbol is shown at the card reader.

 

 

TOUCH

 

Simply tap your debit card on the card reader (less than 4cm) from where the contactless symbol appear.

 

 
CONFIRM

 

A beep/green indicator light indicates successful payment.

 

 

 

HOW TO ACTIVATE THE CARD-NOT-PRESENT FUNCTION?

CARD-NOT-PRESENT

A Card-Not-Present (CNP) transaction is a retail spend transaction where the cardholder is not physically present at the merchant when the payment is made.

Mail order or telephone order transactions

HOW TO ACTIVATE CNP FUNCTION?

It’s simple! Just call +603 6204 7788 to activate your CNP usage function.

 

HOW CAN I SET A CONTACTLESS LIMIT ON MY CARD?

 

 

STEP 1: Enter your Debit Card PIN

 

STEP 2: Select ‘Others’.

 

STEP 3: Select ‘ATM/Debit/Credit Card Related’.

 

STEP 4: Select ‘Debit Card’.

 

STEP 5: Select ‘Set Contactless Transaction Limit’.

 

STEP 6: Enter your preferred ‘Contactless Transaction Amount’.

 

STEP 7: Enter your “IC/Passport/ Business Registration/ Army/ Police No’.

 

STEP 8: Select ‘Yes’ to confirm.

HOW CAN I SET UP MY POINT OF SALE DEBITING ACCOUNT?

 

 

STEP 1: Enter your Debit Card PIN

 

STEP 2: Select ‘Others’.

 

STEP 3: Select ‘ATM/Debit/Credit Card Related’.

 

STEP 4: Select ‘Debit Card’.

 

STEP 5: Select ‘Set Debiting Account’.

 

STEP 6: Select your ‘POS Debiting Account’.

 

STEP 7: Enter your new ‘IC Number’ to ‘Confirm’.

HOW DO I LINK MY ACCOUNT?

Step 1

Login to CIMB Clicks

Step 2

Select “Services”

Step 3

Select ‘Account Linking’, then select ‘Savings/Current’ and choose ‘Link Account’

Step 4

Select account that you wish to link to the Debit Card from the dropdown list and click ‘Submit’

HOW DO I CHANGE MY DEBIT

CARD SPENDING LIMIT

STEP 1 : Login to CIMB OCTO and tap on “More”

STEP 2 : Select “Services” and click on “Transaction Limit”   

STEP 3 : Select on “Debit Card Spending”

STEP 4 : Select the debit card number that you wish to update

STEP 5 : Update your preferred new spending limit

STEP 6 : Approve the SecureTAC to update the new limit

STEP 1 : Login to CIMB Clicks

STEP 2 : Go to Services > Limits & Alerts

STEP 3 : Select “Change Debit Card Spending Limit”

STEP 4 : Click on the Debit Card number & select a new limit then click 'Next'

STEP 5:  

A SecureTAC Approval notification will pop-out on your primary registered device for you to Approve or Reject in debit card spending limit.

RENEWAL

You may renew your CIMB Debit Mastercard three (3) months before it expires

 

WAIVED

No fees will be charged for your CIMB Debit Mastercard renewal.

 

RENEWAL OPTION

CURRENTLY IN MALAYSIA

 

You may visit your nearest CIMB branch to renew your CIMB Debit Mastercard or call +603 6204 7788 for assistance.

NOT CURRENTLY IN MALAYSIA

 

Step 1: Call our Consumer Contact Centre with the phone number available at the back of your CIMB Debit Card for verification.

 

Step 2: Email the below documents to contactus@cimb.com

 

  • Copy of MyKad/MyPR (Malaysian) or valid passport (non-Malaysian)
  • Copy of the front of your CIMB Debit Card 
  • Completed Debit Card Replacement Form Click here to download the form. 

 

Your new Debit Card will be send to your mailing address at no fees.

THINGS TO NOTE AFTER RENEWAL CARD

Login to CIMB Clicks with your existing login details and update your renewed Debit Card details.
