A Card-Not-Present (CNP) transaction is a retail spend transaction where the cardholder is not physically present at the merchant when the payment is made.

HOW TO ACTIVATE CNP FUNCTION?

It’s simple! Just call +603 6204 7788 to activate your CNP usage function.

 

ACTIVATE OVERSEAS USAGE

You can now activate the overseas usage function via CIMB Clicks! As part of the bank’s security measures, it is necessary to activate the overseas usage function before using your debit card overseas for shopping or ATM withdrawal.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY DEBIT

CARD SPENDING LIMIT

STEP 1 : Launch CIMB Clicks mobile app

STEP 2 : Tap on "Services"    

STEP 3 : Select “Limits & Alerts”

STEP 4 : Select “Change Debit Card Spending Limit”

STEP 5 : Select the Debit Card number & update your new limit

STEP 1 : Login to CIMB Clicks

STEP 2 : Go to Services > Limits & Alerts

STEP 3 : Select “Change Debit Card Spending Limit”

STEP 4 : Click on the Debit Card number & select a new limit then click 'Next'

STEP 5:  

A SecureTAC Approval notification will pop-out on your primary registered device for you to Approve or Reject in debit card spending limit.

STEP 6: Successful Debit Card spending limit change acknowledgment

HOW DO I PERFORM CONTACTLESS PAYMENT?

 

Contactless payments are convenient and saves your time.

If you have just received a new or renewed Debit Card, you will need to perform at least one (1) successful PIN transaction at any CIMB ATM to activate the contactless payment feature in your debit card.

 

JUST TAP TO PAY!

 

Your CIMB Debit Card is enabled with contactless function, you may use it for retail transaction up to RM250 at merchant which displays contactless symbol. 

 

 

SEARCH

 

If merchant accept card  payment with contactless feature, the contactless symbol is shown at the card reader.

 

 

TOUCH

 

Simply tap your debit card on the card reader (less than 4cm) from where the contactless symbol appear.

 

 
CONFIRM

 

A beep/green indicator light indicates successful payment.

 

 

 

DEBIT CARD RENEWAL

RENEWAL

You may renew your CIMB Debit Mastercard three (3) months before it expires

 

WAIVED

No fees will be charged for your CIMB Debit Mastercard renewal.

 

RENEWAL OPTION

CURRENTLY IN MALAYSIA

 

You may visit your nearest CIMB branch to renew your CIMB Debit Mastercard or call +603 6204 7788 for assistance.

NOT CURRENTLY IN MALAYSIA

 

Step 1: Call our Consumer Contact Centre with the phone number available at the back of your CIMB Debit Card for verification.

 

Step 2: Email the below documents to cru@cimb.com

 

  • Copy of MyKad/MyPR (Malaysian) or valid passport (non-Malaysian)
  • Copy of the front of your CIMB Debit Card 
  • Completed Debit Card Replacement Form Click here to download the form. 

 

Your new Debit Card will be send to your mailing address at no fees.

THINGS TO NOTE AFTER RENEWAL CARD

 

UPDATE

 

Login to CIMB Clicks with your existing login details and update your renewed Debit Card details.

 

 

 

SAVE

 

Top up your e-wallet using your latest card information

and save it!

 

 

 
USAGE

 

Key in your PIN during first usage

of your renewed debit card instead

of contactless payment for security reason.
