Think you've been scammed or spotted unusual activity in your account?

We’re here to help. If you notice anything suspicious or unauthorised on your account, take these steps immediately:

Step 1

STOP: Secure your account immediately. Lock your CIMB Clicks ID OR temporarily freeze your credit card

 

Step 2

CALL: Inform the bank immediately at +603 6204 7788 or NSRC at 997. 

Step 3

REPORT: Make a police report. A copy of your report may be requested by the bank to help with investigation if needed.   

 

Please note that submitting false claims on disputed transactions is a serious matter, and the Bank may take appropriate action, including reporting to the authorities.

Types of Social Scam

 

Social scams come in many forms, including phishing messages, impersonation accounts, fake promotions, and malicious links.  Understanding the different types of scams help you recognize warning signs early and avoid becoming a victim. 

 

 

Malware & Account Takeover 

 

You are asked to download an app (APK) 

 

 

 

 

Impersonation

 

A caller claims to be from the bank or police and pressures you to transfer money to “secure” your account. 

 

 

Phishing & Messaging

 

You receive an SMS with a link asking you to update your banking details to avoid account suspension. 

 

 

Social Engineering (Love/ Job/ Loan)

Someone you met online builds trust with you and later asks for money for an emergency or processing fee.
