In line with enhanced regulatory requirements for foreign currency (FCY) transfers, you may be required to submit additional declaration forms for selected transactions.

Effective 20^th July 2026, you may be required to submit the applicable declaration form(s) for the following transaction: 

Transaction Type | Required Form

• Foreign currency loan-related lending/borrowing transactions | Remittance Borrowing Declaration Form
• Transfer from your CIMB Trade Foreign Currency Account (TFCA) or Ringgit (MYR) account to another account under your name with another Licensed Onshore Bank (LOB) | Investment Declaration Form

What do I need to do?

Please submit the applicable declaration form together with your payment instructions and any supporting documents, where required.

How will I know if I am affected?

• For transactions submitted through our branches, our staff or your Relationship Manager will inform you if a declaration form is required.
• For online transactions, we will contact you if additional information or declarations are required before your transaction can be processed.

If you are unsure whether your transaction is affected, please contact your Relationship Manager or the Bank's customer service team.

Will my transaction be delayed?

Transactions may take longer to process if the required declaration form or supporting information is not provided.

Where can I get the Remittance Borrowing Declaration Form?

The form is available on the CIMB website:

• Personal Banking: Foreign Telegraphic Transfer  > Key Download 
• Business Banking: Form Download Centre > Cash Management

Please complete the form and submit it together with the required supporting documents.
