Revised CIMB Enrich Mastercard Terms and Conditions for CIMB Enrich World Elite Credit Card, CIMB Enrich World Credit Card and CIMB Enrich Platinum Credit Cardholders

Dear Valued Cardholders,

 

Please be informed of the revised Terms and Conditions for CIMB Enrich World Elite Credit Card, CIMB Enrich World Credit Card and CIMB Enrich Platinum Credit Card (“CIMB Enrich Credit Card”).  

 

We hereby give twenty-one (21) days’ notice that “Enrich Miles” will be referred to as “Enrich Points” and shall take effect on 1 April 2021.

The Cardholder(s) may ask for his CIMB Bonus Miles to be converted into Enrich Miles subject to the terms and conditions of the Bank’s Member Rewards Programme. Enrich Miles can be used under the Malaysia Airlines Enrich program subject to the prevailing terms and conditions imposed by Malaysia Airlines. When a Cardholder(s) asks the Bank to convert his CIMB Bonus Miles into Enrich Miles, the Bank shall forward the request to Malaysia Airlines to credit the Cardholder(s) Enrich account with Enrich Miles. The rate of conversion of CIMB Bonus Miles to Enrich Miles shall be at the prevailing rate set out in the Bank’s Member Rewards Catalogue. The Bank may vary the conversion rate from time to time by giving adequate prior notice to the Cardholder(s). The Cardholder(s) must follow-up with Malaysia Airlines and check their own Enrich accounts with Malaysia Airlines to make sure that their requested conversions have been completed.

For redemption of Enrich Miles or any enquiries or disputes relating to the Cardholder(s)’ Enrich account with Malaysia Airlines, the Cardholder(s) must contact and resolve the issues directly with Malaysia Airlines.

For redemption of Enrich Points or any enquiries or disputes relating to the Cardholder(s)’ Enrich account with Malaysia Airlines, the Cardholder(s) must contact and resolve the issues directly with Malaysia Airlines.

If the Cardholder(s) Card is terminated, the Cardholder(s) will not be entitled to convert its accumulated CIMB Bonus Miles into Enrich Miles and these CIMB Bonus Miles will be cancelled. If the Cardholder(s) Card or related account is temporarily suspended, CIMB Bonus Miles can be earned and will continue to accumulate, but they cannot be converted into Enrich Miles until the suspension is uplifted.

If the Cardholder(s) Card is terminated, the Cardholder(s) will not be entitled to convert its accumulated CIMB Bonus Miles into Enrich Points and these CIMB Bonus Miles will be cancelled. If the Cardholder(s) Card or related account is temporarily suspended, CIMB Bonus Miles can be earned and will continue to accumulate, but they cannot be converted into Enrich Points until the suspension is uplifted.

CIMB Bonus Miles earned can only be converted into Enrich Miles and cannot be used for gift redemption or transferred to other generic card accounts. CIMB Bonus Miles have no monetary value and are not transferable nor exchangeable for cash.

If the Cardholder(s) requests for any Retail Spending Transactions to be reversed or cancelled, the Bank shall be entitled to immediately reverse or debit the Cardholder(s) Card for CIMB Bonus Miles earned and credited arising from such reversed or cancelled Retail Spending Transaction; and if such CIMB Bonus Miles have been converted to Enrich Miles, the Bank shall be entitled to immediately debit the Cardholder(s) Card at the rate of RM0.10 per Enrich Mile converted for such CIMB Bonus Miles or at such other conversion rate which the Bank may decide by giving adequate prior notice to the Cardholder(s).

If the Malaysia Airlines Enrich program is cancelled, suspended or altered in any way which is detrimental to the Bank or the Cardholder(s), the Cardholder(s)’ CIMB Bonus Miles which still remain unconverted into Enrich Miles cannot be converted to cash, but the Bank may (but is not obliged) decide to convert these CIMB Bonus Miles to bonus points for other loyalty programmes operated by the Bank at rates determined at the Bank’s sole discretion. The Cardholder(s) shall bear the loss suffered on the Cardholder(s)’ unredeemed Enrich Miles which were converted from CIMB Bonus Miles. The Bank will not be able to assist the Cardholder(s) to get any money or credits back from Malaysia Airlines for these unredeemed Enrich Miles.

If the Malaysia Airlines Enrich program is cancelled, suspended or altered in any way which is detrimental to the Bank or the Cardholder(s), the Cardholder(s)’ CIMB Bonus Miles which still remain unconverted into Enrich Points cannot be converted to cash, but the Bank may (but is not obliged) decide to convert these CIMB Bonus Miles to bonus points for other loyalty programmes operated by the Bank at rates determined at the Bank’s sole discretion. A periodic statement issued by the Bank will reflect Retail Spending Transactions on the Card and the CIMB Bonus Miles earned and later converted into Enrich Miles. If there is any error in the periodic statement, (particularly in relation to the Retail Spending Transactions relating to the CIMB Bonus Miles earned or converted into Enrich Miles) the Cardholder(s) must report the error to the Bank in writing within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date the Cardholder(s) has received the statement or is deemed to have received the statement, otherwise the Cardholder(s) is deemed to have accepted the entries as correct and conclusive and the statement shall be binding against the Cardholder(s). The Cardholder(s) cannot then make any claims against the Bank by alleging that the statement contains any error, discrepancy or inaccuracy.
