How do I get started with DuitNow QR?

Step 1 : Tap 'DuitNow QR' icon on the CIMB Clicks app

If you don’t have CIMB Clicks app, you can download it on your mobile from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. 

Step 2 : Set the Payment and Receiving Account


Link your choice of account from the drop down list. If you don't have a Savings or Current account you won't be able to receive funds. 

Step 3 : Create Passcode

Create a 6 digit Passcode to authenticate payment. Do not share your Passcode to anyone.

Step 4 : Set the Transaction Limit

Select your limit per transaction from the drop down list. 

How do I Pay or Transfer with DuitNow QR?

Step 1 : Tap 'DuitNow QR' icon on the CIMB Clicks app

Key in your 6 Digit Passcode/Biometric authentication to proceed.

Step 2 : Scan the QR code

Alternatively, you can upload the QR code from your mobile's image gallery by selecting 'Scan QR from gallery'.

Step 3 : Enter Payment amount

Enter the amount you want to Pay to a Merchant or Transfer to a Recipient. You don't have to key in the amount if the QR code already has a preset amount. 

Step 4 : Tap on 'Pay Now'

Tap Pay Now after confirming the Recipient/Merchant name and amount.

Step 5 : Payment confirmation

The transaction detail will be displayed on screen.

How do I Receive Funds or Payment with DuitNow QR?

Step 1 : Tap 'DuitNow QR' icon on the CIMB Clicks app

Key in your 6 Digit Passcode/Biometric authentication to proceed.

Step 2 : Tap on 'Receive'

This is to display your QR code.

Step 3 : Tap on 'Amount'

Only use this function to preset an amount for a face-to-face transaction  - or do proceed to Step no 4. This generated QR code is valid for 60 seconds, after which you will need to repeat the steps.

Step 4 : Payer to scan the QR code

Payer to scan your QR code to make a fund transfer or payment. 

How do I generate and share my DuitNow QR code?

Step 1 : Tap 'DuitNow QR' icon on the CIMB Clicks app

Key in your 6 Digit Passcode/Biometric authentication to proceed.

Step 2 : Tap on 'Receive'

This is to generate your QR code.

Step 3 : Tap on 'Share'

Select how you want to share your QR code (i.e. via messaging app or email)

Where can I use DuitNow QR?

You can easily make fund transfer to and from any participating banks with DuitNow QR!

 

For merchant payments, you can pay via DuitNow QR at ANY DuitNow QR merchants from participating Banks or e-Wallets. They can be identified by the pink DuitNow QR logo located at the merchant payment counter.

 

As for CIMB participating merchants, do check this list regularly as we will continuously update it with new merchants!
